Halloween

This year for Halloween, Nicole decided she wanted to be a ballerina. Lisa got to work right away on some ballerina slippers. She has been attending a weekly knitting group and made these awesome slippers for Nicole.

Here are some of Nicoli's poses.

Vanessa decided to be "Rapunzel, but not with blonde hair, with brown hair". Lisa braided a super long yarn extension, which Vanessa had to wear over her shoulder. She was pretty excited about her hair. She was mistaken for Princess Leia more than once throughout the night.

Here are the girls right before going trick-or-treating.

This was one of the first houses we came upon. Trick-or-treating didn't seem as fun to the girls after this. We had to pump them up again for the next few houses.

We also came across this beauty. I don't know if you can see very well, but that is a huge smoker on the back. Sweet ride!

The girls were also pleasantly surprised this Saturday when I brought this home. We're still debating whether we are going to leave them as bunkbeds or separate them into two twin beds (Lisa is really nervous).

Fall has been awesome this year. Here is a shot of our favorite tree on the street.

And last, but not least, here are a few quotes from the girls:

During our family home evening this week...

We were singing "Choose The Right", and when we got to the chorus, this is what we heard.

Vanessa: Choose the right, not the left.

On our way home from church...

Vanessa was touting her unselfishness by telling us that she enjoys giving presents more than opening them herself. This was Nicole's response.

Nicole: No, I like to open presents..I open it, and look, it's a diamond! You want to see it?

Loved the photos - really cute costumes. The one of Nicole in the ballerina pose is priceless. One problem - none of the photos are "clickable". Could you send me copies of full-sized photos? I liked the "Ultimate Tailgater" vehicle. Thanks for sharing the cute things the girls say. I will try to remember to choose the right, not the left. It made me think of the motor boat that Dale Funk had that could only turn right, not left, so you had to go across the lake in spirals;o) Our fall leaves are being pelted with a lot of rain, and are mostly on the streets now.

Oh Yeah, the bunk beds - I almost forgot. The girls will do fine with them as bunks, so to quote a saying they have painted on the wall one large classroom at the prison, "Get over it!" :o)

Hey, does Lisa want to go into business? I love the little slippers. I want some for my girls!
The girls are adorable, it is amazing to see them growing so fast, even though you guys just left a few months ago. I can't believe how long their hair is getting!
We miss you guys! Thanks for sharing, hope things go well!

Thanks for all the pictures. Those ballerlina slippers were more fantastic than I ever imagined. Both girls costumes are precious. Of course that is because you have such beautiful girls.

Such adorable girls! Love the ballet slippers and the braid! The Halloween house looks crazy!

The beds look great, but I'm with Lisa. I would keep them closer to the ground until they are older!

I love the tree! Autumn is the best season, not to hot or cold and beautiful colors!

The girls quotes are so cute, it really shows how they are growing up!

See you soon!!!

Very creative! Cute slippers, and cool hair extensions. I'm impressed, Lisa. That first yard did look a bit scary. I don't blame the girls for loosing a little enthusiasm, but I'm sure, like my kids they still ended up with way more candy than they can eat. Where did you get your bunkbed? We are wanting to upgrade our home-made crib mattress sized bunkbed to twin sized bunkbed. Anyway, I really like how you find the beautiful things around you and include them whenever you post. I do love fall leaves (except the raking part). Thanks for the beautiful pictures of your girls. I can't believe how fast they are growing up.
